Dragon*Con 2011 Cosplay Photos

Dragon*Con 2011 was held September 2-5, 2011 in Atlanta, GA. One of North America’s largest multi-genre convention, it’s usually known for large amount of cosplayers that attend every year. Just about any character imaginable from TV, film, literature, comics, and music can be found being cosplayed at Dragon*Con.

Unfortunately, since we were unable to attend Dragon*Con ourselves this year, we’ve collected quite a few photos from some quality sites online. Please visit the source sites to find more great images!

Cosplay Gone Wrong

Comic Book Critic has shown you some really good cosplay from recent comic conventions, from SDCC to SpringCon to C2E2. We’ve collected the women and babes of cosplay for our loyal readers. But we haven’t put together the bad part of cosplay… until now.

We scoured Google images to bring you some truly bad cosplayers and costumes. Sometimes it’s the costume, sometimes it’s the cosplayer, oftentimes it’s the magical combination of both that just make you pause and wonder if what you saw was real.

This gallery of comic book cosplay features the women who choose to dress up as their favorite comic book hero and act it out in public. These costumes are great and have probably required weeks, if not months, of preparation and hard work.

If you’ve put that much work into something, the last thing you want is to have a small audience see it. So here we feature some of those fantastic costumes and women to a broader internet audience.

San Diego Comic-Con 2011 Cosplay Photos

ComicVine is a site that never ceases to amaze with the amount of information they collect and make available to the entire fan community. This time they’ve gone above and beyond with the sheer number of San Diego Comic-Con 2011 cosplay pictures they have on their site – a total of 1,143 photos!

SDCC ’11: The Babes of Cosplay

Comic-Cons are never short on cosplayers, and at the San Diego Comic-Con – being the largest of them all – you’re sure to be surrounded by them! FOX40 KTXL-TV in Sacramento, CA took it upon themselves to run a gallery of 100 images of the Babes of Cosplay.

Being a diligent reporter, I couldn’t pass up this story. Here are a few of the women cosplayers that the intrepid reporters at FOX news documented. You can view the entire 100 image photo gallery at FOX40 News.

This past weekend the Midwest Comic Book Association held their annual SpringCon at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in Saint Paul, MN.
