Dark Circle Comics has announced its first wave of superhero comics to be launched in early 2015, which include The Black Hood, The Shield , and The Fox.
THE BLACK HOOD features the creative team of writer Duane Swierczynski and artist Michael Gaydos, THE SHIELD has writers Adam Christopher and Chuck Wendig and artist Wilfredo Torres, and THE FOX is from writer/artist Dean Haspiel and scripter Mark Waid.

Today, Dark Circle Comics – the superhero imprint of Archie Comics – revealed that the label’s first wave of titles will include THE BLACK HOOD from writer Duane Swierczynski (Judge Dredd, X, Birds of Prey) and artist Michael Gaydos (ALIAS), THE SHIELD from writers Adam Christopher (The Burning Dark) and Chuck Wendig (Blackbirds) and artist Wilfredo Torres (The Shadow: Year One), and THE FOX from writer/artist Dean Haspiel (Billy Dogma, HBO’s Bored to Death) and scripter Mark Waid (Daredevil, Kingdom Come, founder of Thrillbent). All three series will be ongoing and launch early next year.

Last night at the Diamond Retailer Summit, IDW Games announced a deal with John Layman and Rob Guillory that will create a new line of CHEW tabletop games for fans to sink their teeth into. The smash-hit comic series is already on its way to an animated adaptation, and starting in early 2015 fans hungry for more CHEW will have yet another way to devour their favorite title.
Lena Dunham, the star and creator of HBO’s Girls, is coming to Archie Comics and will be writing a new, four part story arriving in stores in 2015.

As announced this morning in THE NEW YORK TIMES, Lena Dunham, the star and creator of HBO’s hit series Girls will be penning a new, four-part Archie Comics story slated to hit newsstands and comic shops in 2015.
Dunham, known for her topical and compelling writing as well as her stellar performances on Girls, will bring her modern voice to some of the most beloved characters in pop culture as Archie and the gang come face to face with a new reality show filming in Riverdale.
This announcement was inevitable.
When news broke about Disney buying Lucasfilm, it was certain that we’d hear that Marvel Comics would be publishing Star Wars titles in the near future. The only question was “when was it going to happen?” Dark Horse still retained the publishing rights and Dark Horse Founder and President, Mike Richardson, announced that nothing would change in the near future.
