There are many talented models and performers who bring their love & enthusiasm to dressing up as their favorite characters. Comic Book Critic will occasionally showcase a performer who embodies this spirit of cosplaying.

Whether it’s creating the costume from scratch, altering the appearance of an existing one, or just getting into character, these performers spend a lot of time and effort on their craft. As much as we all enjoy seeing our favorite fictional characters represented in real life, let’s not forget the behind-the-scenes work that goes into that portrayal.

One thing is for certain though, their love of cosplaying shines through in their work.

Todd McFarlane will be at San Diego Comic-Con on July 19-20, 2013. He will be attending autograph sessions and a panel, and we’ll be getting an exclusive look at new McFarlane Toys action figures.

San Diego Comic-Con is quickly approaching and we want to make sure you know where to find everything McFarlane. Todd will be at some of the hottest SDCC events for autograph sessions and a panel. He’ll be signing a special exclusive Assassin’s Creed poster giveaway (yes, that does mean free!) for a few hundred lucky fans.

For all the hordes of The Walking Dead fans, Skybound (booth #2729) is bringing you an exclusive limited edition The Walking Dead Comic Governor in Riot Gear action figure. IDW Publishing is renowned for having great exclusives at San Diego Comic-Con International every year, but 2013 finds them taking it to the next level. See below for a complete list of SDCC exclusives, which promise to be the most sought after of the show!

Some of the items will be available for pre-order from IDW’s web store beginning today, July 2nd. Fans that preorder will be able to pick up their books from the IDW booth (These items will be noted below with an *asterisk).
